Regina (ICCC) v Glenmore Cricket Club Regina Tour 2006 on Sat 30 Jul 2005 at
Glenmore Cricket Club Lost 9 runs

Match report 40 over game
Glenmore won the toss, and due to the heat +33c (and the need to get fed after the game) put ICCC into bat. Amjad (39) with good support from Satnam(capt-26), Javeed(24) and Waseem(16) were the mainstays of their innings. Accruing a total of 148 runs off 35 overs.
Tight bowling by Richard, with a great performance from both Pasha and Mike (Bowling spin)amd a solid spell from Mark and Aziz kept the runs down. Behind the stumps Trevor was in great form with 2 catches and a smart stumping

Glenmore F.O.W. 20, 65, 65, 66, 66, 67, 67, 74, 75, 80, 139
After some solid 4's Trevor was quickly dismissed with a c&b by a highly delighted Gary Grewal. Anil Veji played cautiously while Anil Joshi, in his first game of the season showed why he was a great batsman in his prime, scoring 33 runs against some solid pace bowling from young Prakhar. In the 14th over, with Glenmore looking to be in a strong position at 65 for 1, skipper Grewal called upon his two spinners Nirmal and Mike Sharma to stop the flow. An impressive first over by Nirmal of 2 wickets for2 runs, followed by Mikes 2 wicket maiden , firmly put Glenmore on their heels due to the batsmen playing off their back foot or in Richards case taking a great hit out deep to a waiting fielder. Nirmal quickly took another wicket as did Mike with 2 more in 2 overs.
By the 20th over the damage had been done by the spinners with Glenmore in total disarray at 80 for 8. Mark came to the wicket with Pasha, and hope was in sight until Pasha was caught off the very next ball.
Regina ICC were jubilant when John came to the wicket in the 21st over with the score at 80 for 9, still 69 runs away from Regina's total, and everyone expecting the game to be over within a few minutes.
A terrific captain's innings by Mark of 36 not out including 6 x 4's, was supported by a stalwart John who refused to flash at anything and just blocked the ball. Frustration set in amongst the Regina side as they could not capture either wicket, despite changing bowlers regularly.Slowly, over by over, Glenmore were gaining ground on their target. After a partnership lasting 16 overs and 59 runs, John took a nick to the keeper and Regina won by the narrow margin of 9 runs in the 37th over.
It was a really dramatic game
