Glenmore Cricket Club Won 3 wickets

Match report PCCR won the toss on this 40 over match and elected to bat on a hot day. Their hero of Saturday, Jawad. erred and handled the ball off his 6th delivery. Captain Imran joined Shahbaz at the wicket and put on a good partnership of 51 in 14 overs, being held back by consistent bowling from both M.Pasha and M.Duncan.
S.Schonken took over from Pasha, but Imran was starting to settle in. C McIntyre replaced M.Duncan and was hit for 11 runs in his first over. Schonken was then also hit for 11 runs off his next over. McInytre's 4th ball of his second over bowled Shahbaz, who was out for useful 17. McIntyre in his next over (4th) bowled Imran. Duncan replaced Schonken and quickly reduced the run rate. In the 19th over with PCCR on 71 for 4, McIntyre took a further 2 wickets for 1 run.
PCCR continued to fight but a good catch by Joshi at Mid off , from Duncan, dismissed Qazi.
In McIntyres 6th over he bowled Hausan, and then in his 7th, took another 2 wickets (an LBW, and a bowled). His final (8th) over being a maiden, which rounded off a terrific bowling spell of 7 wickets for 36 runs
The tail enders were allowed to bat on for a further 7 overs, for 21 runs, before Schonken bowled Uzair and closed the innings at 128 off 31.2 overs.
Mcintyres spell: 0-11, 1-13, 2-14, 4-15, 4-30, 5-30, 7-36,7-36

Glenmore openers J.Bray and N.Hircock went into bat, with the team confident of an easy victory, and sweet revenge from the previous day's match. Hasium was bowling well for PCCR and finding some bounce which Bray had troubles handling. A nick over the slip caudron heads, brought in an extra deep 'slip' who took a fine catch when Bray repeated the same shot a few minutes later. T.Defreitas came in to face Faheem, and on his first ball, attempted his renowned ' flea flicker' which resulted in an outside edge to 1st slip. Glenmore were 13 for 2 off 4 overs. Solid defence from N.Hircock- performing in a similar fashion as he had the previous day, put some 'spine' into the Glenmore batting. M.Pasha also played defensively, and at the end of the 8th over Glenmore were 27 for 2.
In the 9th over spinner Jawad replaced Haisum who took the wickets of Pasha and McIntye in the same over. Glenmore were 28 for 4 off 9 overs.
HAD GLENMORE COLLAPSED YET AGAIN?.
Tension was running high as Shaun Briscoe our Saskatchewan exile, joined Nev at the wicket. (Briscoe also guested for us in 2005, being an old Glenmore player . Other than the one innings in 2005 he had not played in 3 years). A four off his second ball seemed to settle him ,and he along with Nev Hircock were patient taking singles were they could until the 14th over when Briscoe hit another four.
At 51 for 4 Uzair captred Hircocks' wicket out LBW for 6 runs off 42 balls.. Not many runs perhaps, but a very solid innings which the team needed. S.Schonken came to the wicket but was soon bowled by Jawad for 2 runs.Glenmore 57 for 6.
Hope of a victory was fastly fading when M,Duncan joined Briscoe. Briscoe took control and hit a fine 6 and started to push along the runs and the run rate crept up until he was caught off Jawad for a really impressive 24 runs. Glenmore were now in trouble at 67 for 7.
Anil Joshi, who had captained the tour, came in and joined Duncan. Unusually for Joshi, it was not until his 12th ball, that he made his presence felt, 2 runs, followed by 2 more, followed by a four. Duncan took a single and Joshi faced again. 4.., 1, Duncan a single, Joshi 4, the score was starting to move along and some hope stirred amongst the Glenmore players. At the end of the 22nd over Glenmore were 93 for 7. Joshi continued to hit away and scored 2 more fours in his innings of 34 not out off 31 balls. Duncan, playing in his usual solid manner had defended against the better ball, and taken singles where he could. It was fitting that a 3 from him should provide the winning run. His innings of 13 off 25 balls again proving its worth
Glenmore had won and made 129 runs in the 29th over
An exciting game with some terrific swings in who was likely to win.
